Thinking of getting solar string lights for the yard. Tutorials make it look super simple - just stake the panel, string the lights. Is it *really* that straightforward? Or are there crucial tips/tricks (like panel angle or placement) to make them work well? Share your experience!

@alexanderh yeah, gotta chase that sun! My roof works good too (just check your cable length!)

@aubreyterry Lol "chase that sun" is right! Is it better to put the panel super high up or just somewhere it gets direct sun?

Gotcha, chase that sun! Lol. Is there like a general rule you follow, or just trial and error to find the best spot? And what about that cable length bit? Is that usually just a matter of getting it long enough, or are there other quirks with the cables?
